What is a good readability score?

For most blogs and newsletters, aim for a Flesch reading ease of 60–70 (plain English, roughly 8th–9th grade). Higher is easier. Short sentences and common words move the score up faster than anything else.

Spanish texts

For Spanish we use the Fernández-Huerta formula, an adaptation of Flesch calibrated for Spanish syllable counts.
